Dr Laura O'Donovan chosen for NCoB Oversight Group on human embryo research public dialogue

We are pleased to announce that Future of Human Reproduction member Dr Laura O'Donovan has been chosen to be part of the Oversight Group for the Nuffield Council on Bioethics’ upcoming public dialogue.

, in partnership with UKRI is organising a to explore opinions and values surrounding regulatory options for human embryo research, with a particular focus on reviewing the 14-day rule. For an explainer on these issues, please see our blog: Is it time to revisit the 14-day rule?

The independent Oversight Group will ensure a robust and accountable process by providing challenge, guidance and advice on the scope, design and delivery of the public dialogue. The group will ensure diverse perspectives are represented and will review the structure and content of the sessions to guarantee that the information presented is comprehensive, balanced, and accessible.
